TARNOWSKA, Rose (nee Countess Zamoyska). Peacefully at ninety-four on July 18, 2005 at the Canadian-Polish Institute in Montreal. Beloved wife of the late Count Arthur Tarnowski, mother of Maria, John, Martin and Paul, grandmother of Andrew, Mark, Rosabelle, Danuta, Yolande, Maryncia, Zosia, Christine, Thomas, Michael, Arthur, John and Julia. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian-Polish Welfare Institute in her memory would be appreciated. Visitation at Alfred Dallaire Funeral Home, 1120 Jean Talon, Thursday, July 21 from 7 to 10 p.m. and Friday, July 22 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held on July 23 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Columba's Church, 4020 Hingston Street, N.D.G. As she wished, her ashes will be brought back to Poland and will be placed to rest next to her beloved husband in the family crypt at the Dominican Church in Tarnobrzeg. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Canadian-Polish Institute for the exception care and compassion extended to our mother.
