John B. SMITH

SMITH, John B. Jack Smith of Chesterville passed away at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, with family by his side, on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by his parents Angus and Vera Smith. Beloved husband of Lois Gallinger. Dear father of Kevin and his wife Kathy (Ziebell) of Pickering, Ontario and Lorraine and her husband Peter Giesbrecht of Kemptville, Ontario. Cherished grandfather of Brad and Jenna Smith and Meghan and Logan Giesbrecht. Dear brother of Erva Droppo (the late Murray), Jean Byers (the late Stuart) both of Chesterville, June McDermid (Lyal) of Berwick, Carl Smith (Muriel), Ann McMillan (Ron), Bill Smith (Bev) and Lyle Smith (Sandra) all of Chesterville. Jack thoroughly enjoyed his years of retirement and the many friends he made during his Florida winters. He will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at the Chesterville Funeral Home, 62 Queen Street, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Trinity United Church, Chesterville, on Monday at 11 a.m. Reverend MaryLou Shortill officiating.
