MacDONALD, Marie Evelyn. Passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2005. Beloved wife of Anthony MacDonald. Born in Amherst, N.S. Daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn Gallant. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Alma Sonier of Amherst, N.S., Irene Howard of Vancouver, B.C. and Florentine Hanner of Phoenix, Arizona. Pre-deceased by her brother Leo Gallant of New Glascow, N.S. Marie worked as a registered nurse in Nova Scotia, Quebec, Alberta and B.C. She received her training as a nurse at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Monction, N.B. A funeral mass in the presence of the ashes will be celebrated at St. Charles Nativity Church in Amherst, N.S. on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 11 a.m., followed by interment in the parish cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Montreal General Hospital for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montreal General Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 1650 Cedar Ave. Montreal, Qc. H3G 1A4. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 7/23/2005
