IRVING, William John Peacefully at 1:30 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Kingston General Hospital, in his 90th year. Bill, beloved husband of Doris (nee Robinson); dear father to Bill Irving (Sylvia) and Jim Irving (Gail); loved and respected grandfather to Scott Irving (Angelina), Joy Vascotto (Sandy), Michael Irving and Julie Lalonde (Jason) and great-grandfather to Gwynna Vascotto. Dear brother to Elizabeth Hardy (Beverly), of Poughkeepsie, NY. Bill served with the RCAF 1939-1980. In keeping with Bill's wishes, cremation will be immediate. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2) on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Reverend Canon Bob Hales officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society in Bill's memory.
