McGUIRE, Michael Robert Senior Constable Ret'd Ottawa Police Peacefully in hospital in Smiths Falls, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 22, 2005 at the age of 60. Cherished husband of Annette (nee Reyre). Dear father of Michael Stephen McGuire (Lee Hayes) and Amanda Joyce McGuire (Jean-Marc Jossinet). Fondly remembered by his three grandsons Benjamin, Tyler and Samuel. Brother of Marolyn Goldt, John (Jackie), James (Bonnie) and David. Dear son in-law of Joyce Ordidge. Brother in-law of Terry Roome (David), Stephen Fleury and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Central of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Wednesday, August 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, August 4 at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation 503 Smyth Road, Ottawa, K1H 9Z9 or the Canadian Liver Foundation, Ottawa Chapter, 1729 Bank Street, Suite 309, Ottawa, K1V 7Z5 would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Doctor Raphael Shew for his exceptional care and compassion, the Palliative Care Unit and nursing staff at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, and to the "Order of the Frog" at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus for their dedication.
