Sharon Elizabeth Nicol (née Carty) Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Sadly, on July 29, 2005, Sharon passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to mourn her passing and keep Sharon in memory are her husband of 24 years, Grant; her father, Brian Carty; her brothers, Allan (Jan) and Tony (Gwen); her nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Jeffrey, Cynthia, Steven and Ian; her in-laws Doreen, Ken and Lynn; and several family members in England. Sharon was predeceased by her mother, Sylvia. Those who knew Sharon will remember a warm and caring woman who was always ready to offer help, who loved animals (especially her own pets) and whose favorite place on earth was Maui. The family extends their thanks to Dr. Kippen and also the staff of the ER and H4 at HSC for the care Sharon received. Special thanks to Dr. Paunovic and the staff in H7 for their honesty and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Sharon’s memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Wpg., MB R2L 1X3 or the Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Avenue, Wpg., MB R3K 0Y1. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
