Mrs. Laura Margaret Hogan (née Thompson) July 21, 1926 - July 29, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) HOGAN (Thompson), Laura Margaret - 79, Halifax, passed away peacefully Friday, July 29, 2005 in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, with her loving family at her side. Born July 21, 1926 in Fairview, she was a daughter of the late George Henry and Jean Maxwell (Muir) Thompson. Margaret is survived by her children, Lloyd (Jacqueline), Three Fathom Harbour; Sandra (Georges) Lamoureux, Lower Sackville; Jean (Mark) Hubley, Halifax; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters, Ethel Lawrence, Alton; Lillian Wiley, Bridgewater; brothers, Gordon, Langley, BC; Donald, Enfield. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Lloyd Cecil Hogan (1997); brother, Charles. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. All are welcome to attend a graveside service and interment to be held 2 pm Tuesday in Oakridge Memory Gardens, 1078 Old Sackville Road, Lower Sackville, Father James Richards and Helene Burns officiating. (take Exit 2 from Hwy 101; left at first set of lights and continue straight; cemetery is on the corner of Old Sackville and Lucasville Roads) The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff on 8.4, New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, for the care and compassion shown to our mother during her time in hospital.
