Mary Margaret Maitre (née McGuire) November 12, 1918 - August 1, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) 86 years, peacefully on August 1, 2005. Late of Maidstone. Beloved wife of the late Gilbert (1962). Loving mother of Patrick and Ursula; Anne and Foster Brigley; Jane and Bob Croft; Mary Alice and Douglas Wright, all of Maidstone. Daughter of the late Sylvestre and Jane McGuire (nee McCann). Dear grandma of Brian and Kelly; Joey, Sheila and Chris; Michael, Lana and the late Amy (1998); Jennifer, James, Sarah and John. Dear sister of Rita and Orville Bellaire; Helen and Charlie Trepanier; Stanley and Lucille McGuire; Everette and Madeleine McGuire; and the late Sylvestre Jr. (the late Marjorie), Clifford and Emmett. Dear sister-in-law of Helen McGuire and Rita McGuire and also Elsie Ayrault, Dorothy O'Keefe, Laura Derdaele, and Connie Laforet. Will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the caring and dedicated staff of Iler Lodge. Visiting Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh. Prayers Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.. Visiting resumes after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 180 Talbot St., Essex, until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Chris Quinlan and Fr. Larry Brunet to concelebrate. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Mary Maitre in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
