Myrtle Irene ALSTOP

Myrtle Irene Stewardson (née Alstop) October 03, 1921 - July 28, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Irene-resident of Thunder Bay began her next life with dignity on Thursday afternoon less than 40 hours after entering St. Joseph’s Care Group (Hospice Centre). Irene is survived her sister Audrey McMahon (John) and nephew Scott McMahon, her husband’s nephews Stewart, Gordon, and Paul Roberts, David, Donald and John Stewardson, nieces Sandra Caddo and June Warren and their families. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and a family of friends with whom Irene and Roy shared in Thunder Bay. Irene was predeceased by husband V. Roy Stewardson on July 26th, 2002, her parents Stanley and Margaret Alstop. Irene was married to Roy for 59 years. Her two great passions in life were Roy and their summer camp at One Island Lake. Irene enjoyed sewing, knitting and leather making. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church. Funeral services for Irene will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 at St. John’s Anglican Church (Pearl Street) at 11 A.M. with Rev. Paul Walmsley officiating.
