Phyllis Elaine Babin July 09, 1922 - August 02, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) BABIN, Phyllis Elaine - 83, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Charles William and LeEtta Doris (Lorimer) Meagher. She worked at the VG Hospital for 21 years. She was a member of Edgewood United Church, Halifax for many years and was a life member of the U.C.W. Mayflower Group. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Leisa (Wayne) Munroe, Lake Charlotte; grandchildren, Robin, John, and Warren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, and brother, William C. Meagher. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 5, in Edgewood United Church, Rev. Diane MacVicar officiating. A reception will follow the memorial in the church hall. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 6, in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
