Mrs. Mathilda "Tilly" Johanna Harmina Van Der Stoel (née Buis) November 11, 1907 - August 02, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Richmond Funeral Home Passed away peacefully on August 2, 2005 at the age of 97. Tilly was predeceased by her husband Willem of 62 years. Born in Arnhem, Netherlands in 1907. Tilly and Willem came to Canada in 1953. She leaves behind 2 children, Willem (Rosa Elena) from Mexico and Peggy (Jack) from Surrey; 4 grandchildren, Blenda (Kirk), Leslie (Mike), Gabriela (Francisco) and Alex and 6 great-grandchildren, Melissa, Katelyn, Nicholas, Michelle, Kyle and Julian. She is also survived by her sister Marijke and extended family in Holland. A special thank-you to her caregivers during Pinegrove Care Home. No service will be held, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pinegrove Care Home, 11331 Mellis Drive, Richmond, BC, V6X 1L8.
