MAHONEY GAFFRAY, ROSANNE Peacefully with her family by her side, Rosanne Kathleen Mahoney Gaffray passed away at the Health Sciences Center, Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the age of 39 years after a 13 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Rosanne was born on March 25, 1966 in Gagetown, NB and graduated from Oromocto High School in 1984. After moving to Pine Falls, MB and her marriage to Edward in 1990, she worked with him in the family business. Her pride and joy, Lee was born in 1995. Before being diagnosed with MS, Rosanne was an avid athlete and followed the sports world very closely all her life. Rosanne always attended Lee's hockey games where he was a goalie for the Pineview Saints. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Edward; son, Lee; mother, Ruth, Gagetown, NB; brothers, Eugene (Jackie), Gagetown, NB, Karl (Paula), Bridgewater, NS, Mark (Janet), New Maryland, NB, Patrick (Christina), Bon Accord, AB; sisters, Marlene (Bob), Pine Falls, MB, Christine, Winnipeg, MB, Goldie (Jeff), Thunder Bay, ON; mother and father-in-law, Andrea and Art Gaffray, Silver Falls, MB and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Mahoney. The family would like to thank Rosanne's homecare workers and the ICU and 4th Floor staff at the Health Sciences Center for their wonderful care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2:00 pm. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB with Father James Gray officiating. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Russell Funeral Homes, 437 Park Avenue West, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. A memorial service will be held at St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, Gagetown, NB at a later date. Rosanne will always be admired by her family for her courageous fight against MS. [Daily Gleaner]
