BOYD, BETTY JEAN (JEWETT) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and best friend Betty Jean (Jewett) Boyd, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday, September 9th, 2005. Born in Fredericton on May 22nd, 1925, she was the wife of the late J. Lloyd Boyd. A 1947 graduate of the Victoria Public Hospital School of Nursing, she worked at both VPH and the Fredericton Medical Clinic. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Mark Drost) of Florenceville, NB, her son Jim (Liz) and her much adored granddaughter Amanda all of Regina, SK. She also leaves her sisters Blanche Green and Marjorie Steeves of Fredericton; sisters - in - law, Phyllis Jewett of Fredericton and Lavinia Jewett of Hamilton ON, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Susan (Gibb) Jewett, sisters, Reta (Arthur) Graham, Dorothy (Jim) McConnell and brothers, Harold and Earl Jewett. A Memorial Service will be held at the Wilmot United Church on Tuesday, September 13th, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Bob Jones will officiate. A reception will follow.
