H.W. "Bill" Perks 1926 - 2005 H.W. 'Bill' Perks of Mill Road, Moncton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 10, 2005 following a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax, on February 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Jean V. (White) Perks. A veteran of the Second World War, Bill served with The Royal Canadian Army from 1944 -1946. He was a lay reader and member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, a member of Acacia Lodge # 49 F&A M, past master 1977, past district deputy #7 1993-1994. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Boutilier) Perks; daughter, Barbara Grant (Peter); son, Mark Perks (Shelley); sisters, Gladys Whitford and Barbara Hemphill of Halifax; brother, Gordon Perks (Betty) of Halifax; grandchildren, Christian (Trish), Justin (Trish), Megan (Jeff), Trevor, Sheri (Mike), Kyle (Emma); five great-grandchildren, Hannah, Zachary, Allan, Nadia, Lola; as well as several nieces and nephews. A public Masonic Service will be held at 7 o'clock on Monday, September 12, 2005 at Fair Haven Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home immediately following the Masonic Service from 7 to 9 pm. Visitation will also be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, 105 Elmwood Drive on Tuesday, September 13 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A celebration of life service with Holy Communion conducted by The Reverend Rob Salloum will be held at 11:00 am from St. Andrew's Anglican Church Sunny Brae, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (Extra Mural), The Canadian Cancer Society or The St. Andrew's Church building fund.
