KNOX, HAZEN GREGORY - The death of Hazen Knox of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing occurred on September 12, 2005 with his family at his side. Born in Saint John, he was the husband of the late Dorothy E. Knox and son of the late Charles Knox and Mary Dickson. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in France as a Gunner. He was employed with the Port of Saint John for 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed sitting out in the sun whenever he could. He is survived by his sons, Greg Knox (Lucinda), Hazen Knox (Carol), Daniel Knox (Linda), Kevin Knox (Nancy); daughters, Sharon Durrell, Brenda Morrison (John), Bonnie Savard (Anthony), Jacqueline Savard (Ronald); one brother David; and three sisters, Viola, Margaret and Mary. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister Agnus and brothers Bob, William, Edward and Charles. Resting at A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am at the Mission Church, 819 Millidge Avenue followed by interment in Ocean View Cemetery.
