Mr. Oswald Harry Jakeman June 22, 1922 - September 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) JAKEMAN, Oswald Harry - 83, Cow Bay, died peacefully September 12, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. He was a son of the late Edward and Ethel (Yates) Jakeman. He served overseas during the Second World War in France, Germany and Holland. He worked at Fairey Canada as an airplane inspector and had a backhoe business with his nephew Ted. He loved to fly and had his private pilot's license. He was an avid bowler and card player. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Ruth (Morine); daughters, Lorraine (Brian) Wasson, Dartmouth; Sherry (Romain) Butler, Labrador; Brenda (Bernie) Dudka, Saskatoon; son, Dennis, Cow Bay; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Mildred and Muriel; brother, Eric. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 15, at 2 p.m. in the chapel, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. A reception will follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre.
