MCLEAN, WILLIAM (BILL) The death of William McLean (Bill), husband of the late Doris McLean (Booth) of Windsor Court, Fredericton and formerly of Miramichi, NB occurred on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 88. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late William and Harriet (Eaton) McLean. William was retired from the Federal Department of the Public Works and a veteran of WWII. William is survived by one son, Robert (Betty) of Sudbury, ON, one daughter, Mary McCluskey of Dartmouth, NS, one sister, Margaret Pentney of Winnipeg, MN; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, William is predeceased by one sister, Mary, three brothers: Everett , Gabez and Allen. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Father Sam Diotte officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
