R. Eldon STEEVES

R. Eldon Steeves 1920 - 2005 CAMPBELLTON, NB - R. Eldon Steeves, 85, of Campbellton, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clarence M. and the late Cora (née: Douthwright) Steeves. Mr. Steeves worked at Dominion Stores and Clogg's Jewellery before moving to Dalhousie in July 1947 to start a business, he subsequently moved to Campbellton in 1954 where he established and operated Steeves' Jewellery & Gifts, he was a member of Canadian Jewellery Association since 1947, the Masonic Order F&AM (Campbellton), Order of Eastern Star (Campbellton) and the Campbellton United Church. He is survived by his wife, Anna M. "Peggy" (née: MacCallum) of Campbellton; one son, Brock of Campbellton; one sister, Lena Prosser of Riverview; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Steeves was predeceased by two sisters, Aleen Wilson and Alverta Henry; and also by one brother Arnold Steeves. Visitation will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday, August 8, 2005 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 2pm.
