Clara Turchen February 03, 1927 - August 06, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home It is with great sorrow that I announce the death of my dear mother, Clara Turchen peacefully on August 6, 2005 at the age of 78 after a prolonged illness. She was predeceased by her husband John on July 19, 2004; by her brother Henry and sisters Mary, Elizabeth, Ann, Lena and Katie. She is survived by her brother Alfie (Inga), son Barry (Gigi) and step-daughter Janice (Bob). Along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandsons, granddaughters and great grandsons and great granddaughters. Clara was born on a farm in Berlo, MB on February 3, 1927. Hard work and self reliance formed the basis of her life from her birth until the end of her life. She loved to spoil her family, friends and neighbours with her wonderful cooking and selfless caring for others. Her energy, sense of humour and wisdom were an example to all of us. Her kind heart and extended to all of her beloved pets in the neighbourhood and especially her dog “Miss T.” Her generous loving spirit will be missed by all of us who had the privilege of having our lives touched by her. Special thanks to all the nurses, physicians and support staff of 3E at Riverview Health Cenre for their wonderful compassion and care. In accordance with her wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date at her home.
