Garry Owen John Duffy July 09, 1932 - August 08, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) Duffy, Garry Owen John 1932 - 2005 Words cannot express our sadness in announcing the death of this courageous man on August 8, 2005. Garry passed away at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by all those who loved him. Loving father, grandfather, best friend, uncle and "Ring Leader" to all that knew him. Dear father to Kelly Anne and husband Morris Conciatori, James and wife Nancy Duffy. Proud 'Grandpa' to Melissa (fiancé George), Emily and Silvana Conciatori and Anthony Duffy. Best friend and companion to Mary Plante. Brother or Mary Mason and the late Helen Newby (June, 2005). Uncle "Gare" to Rob and Christine Mason, St. Thomas, Cathy and Gerry Racine, La Salle, and Tom and Sue Mason, Belle River. Also survived by great nieces and nephews Jaclyn, Owen, Brandon, Meaghan, Sydney and Kayla. Predeceased by parents Barry (1963) and Mary (1990) and nephew/godson Michael "Mickey" Mason (2004). Garry leaves behind many wonderful and dear friends too numerous to mention (you know who you are!). His love of cars and friends has spanned over many years. Garry was a proud member of Ducks Unlimited and S.W.O. Heritage Village as well as the Mustang Club of America. His daily coffee breaks with his "Gang" at Tim Hortons, Tecumseh and Manning, will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. He treated everyone as his equal and had never an unkind word towards anyone. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11th from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830). Parish prayers Thursday at 7:30 pm. Visiting resumes after 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2005. The funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Gregory the Great Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Gary Goyeau and Fr. John Comiskey will concelebrate. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. Donations in memory of Garry Duffy can be dedicated to In Honour of the Ones We Love, Inc. for Respite and Palliative Care at Hospice Village. We would like to express our thanks for all the dedicated and wonderful care that he received during his stay at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus, especially the staff of 4 West wing. A tree will be planted in memory of Garry Duffy in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
