Mrs. R. Hilda Foster (née BAnnister) Funeral arrangements by Campbell's Funeral Home R. Hilda Foster of Amherst passed away on Monday, August 8, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, N.S. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Robert and Elizabeth Ann (Smith) Bannister. Hilda enjoyed gardening and was an expert on growing flowers and vegetables. She loved all animals especially her cats and had a passion for doing crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Hilda is survived by three daughters Patricia Kaye of Joggins, Barbara (David) Cove of Thorndale, Ont. and Judith (Jim) Milner of Amherst, three sons Robert (Alberta) of Amherst and David and G. Michael at home, eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George and infant twin brother. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a private graveside service. Donations in Hilda's memory may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
