Earle "Earle" Kenneth MacDonald December 04, 1912 - August 11, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * MacDONALD……Earle Kenneth, age 92, of Windsor Back Road, Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away on August 11, 2005, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on December 4, 1912, in Mapleton, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late George and Nellie (Parker) MacDonald. Earle was employed for over 47 years, at the Colonial Fertilizer Factory, Windsor, where he started work at the age of 15, retiring in 1974. He was a former member of Pesaquid Lodge #38, I.O.O.F., Windsor. He was past president of the Three Mile Plains Community Club and in 1988, he received the Provincial Volunteer of the Year Award, representing West Hants. He is survived by daughters, Doreen (Robert “Bob”) DeVenney, Windsor Forks; Margery (Lawrence) Kehoe, Three Mile Plains; Jo-Anne (Gary) Church, Three Mile Plains; sons, Robert “Bob” (Valerie), Falmouth; Michael “Mike” (Mary Ruth), Three Mile Plains; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Daisy Sanford, Three Mile Plains; Anne Crossley, Cheverie; Mabel Crossley, New Ross; Edie Crossley, Cheverie; brother-in-law, Curtis Coffill, Three Mile Plains; numerous nieces and nephews. Earle was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, the former Iva Maude Crossley (2001); infant daughter, Judith; son, Kenneth; sister, Helena Coffill; brothers, John, Percy, Gordon, Allen and Murray. Visitations 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, August 13, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held, 2 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2005, in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Cremation following, with interment at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, at Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Earle, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
