DOUCET, LENUEL - Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Lenuel Doucet of Saint John, NB passed away on August 11, 2005 at the age of 81, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Petit Rocher, NB he was the son of the late Wilfred Doucet and Beatrice Burton. Len is survived by his beloved wife Alexina of 55 years; four daughters Margie (Laurie Hartlen) of NS, Claudette (Harry Rowe), Denise (Kevin Rowe) of Sussex, Janet (Gerry Bastarache), Natasha (Granddaughter) of Moncton; four sons Donald (Doreen Hachey), Leonard (Judy Hachey) of Alberta, Aldei (Janie Doucet), Claude (Rose Doucet); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother Joseph Doucet of Saint John. He was predeceased by brothers Aldei, Elide, Fred and Romeo, four sisters Dora, Yvette, Theresa and Lea. Len was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and spend time at his camp. He was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the RAOB Buffalo Club for 33 years. Len was a retired employee of the Saint John Shipyard. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday August 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
