Clarence Albert Shelley August 21, 1912 - August 12, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * SHELLEY……Clarence Albert, age 92, of Hantsport, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2005, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on August 21, 1912, in Middlesex St. Ann, Jamaica, he was the son of the late Cecil and Magret (Christie) Shelley. Clarence was a founding member and past president of Port Antonio Rotary Club, Jamaica and was a member of the Windsor Rotary Club for a short time. He was a member of the Port Antonio Masonic Lodge, and also attended Welsford Masonic Lodge, Windsor, where he received his 50 years Jewel. Clarence spent most of his life in Jamaica, was a graduate of the Jamaica Agriculture College and was last employed as property manager for San San Residential Estate, Jamaica, for over 28 years. Clarence had been a resident of Hantsport since 1986. “POPS” as he was known to all, was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. He is survived by daughters, Rose-Marie (J. Bruce) Stirrat, Hantsport; Brenda (Albert) Glutz, South Huntington, New York; Sandra Shelley, Avonport; son, Roger Shelley, Knowlton, P.Q.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Stirrat-DeEll, New Minas; James C. (Tara) Stirrat, Coguitlam, BC; Christopher (Claudene) Glutz, Highland Lakes, New Jersey; Melissa (Peter) Rossero, Huntington, New York; great-grandchildren, Brittany Stirrat-DeEll; Joshua Stirrat-DeEll; Angelika Glutz; Hunter Glutz; sisters, Violet Bramwel, Mandeville, Jamaica; Winnifred Diedrick, Toronto, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, the former Thelma Smallwood Royes (1991); eleven brothers and sisters. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2005, in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Hantsport, with Rev. E. E. Hill officiating. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
