Mr. Dimitrios Pavlounis Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) PAVLOUNIS, Dimitrios - 71, Halifax, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 12, 2005, at his home. Born in Anavriti, Greece, he was a son of the late Antonios and Stravroula (Kousoulas) Pavlounis. Dimitrios was a long-time member of Saint George's Greek Orthodox Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, the former Popi Stratakos; sons, Stephen and Tony, Halifax. He was predeceased by son, George; sister, Eustathia Pavlounis; brothers, Dimitrios and Nick. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax, where Dimitrios' family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in Saint George's Greek Orthodox Church, 38 Purcells Cove Rd., Halifax, Father Panagiotis D. Maropoulos officiating. Private family interment.
