Floyd Steeves Shaffer Floyd Steeves Shaffer, age 83, of K. E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, formerly of Petitcodiac, passed away, Sunday, August 14, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born March 19, 1922 in Berry Mills, he was a son of the late Fred and Alice (Steeves) Shaffer. Along with his brother, he owned and operated Shaffer Brothers Painting. He was a member of the Berry Mills Baptist Church and the Elgin Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Florence (Sherwood) of Riverview; son, Stuart (Varee) of Petitcodiac; sisters, Verla Ferguson (Robert), Mayme Johnson, both of Moncton; grandchildren, Cindy Shaffer of BC, Jeff Shaffer of Ontario, Tammy Ross (Jason) of Riverview, Karey Mitton (Jason) of Charlottetown, Valerie Woods (Darryl) of Ontario, Wendy Trainor (Jeff) of Charlottetown, Robert Shaffer of Riverview; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Clifford. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, where visiting hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Service will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 2 pm. The burial will be held in the New Elgin Cemetery. www.armstrongsfh.com [Times & Transcript]
