Patrick Joseph Nix March 09, 1924 - August 13, 2005 NIX, Patrick Joseph Passed away, while vacationing in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 13, 2005, at the age of 81 years. Born in Limerick, Ireland, he emigrated to Canada with his family in 1925. Loving brother of Mrs. Frances Pasini and her husband Robert of Macomb, Mich.; John Nix of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Sheila Nix of Windsor. Predeceased by his parents: Robert and Ellen Nix; 2 sisters: Eileen Crandall, Katherine Hessler; and 2 brothers: James and William Nix. Dear brother-in-law of Yvonne Nix of Windsor and Harry Hessler of Parma, Ohio. Dear uncle of Christopher Claramunt and his wife Belinda of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Gregory Manga of Gibraltar, Mich; Michael Manga and his wife Kathy of Taylor, Mich.; Robert Nix, and William Nix and his wife Jeanette, all of Windsor. Also survived by several relatives in Canada, Ireland, and the United States. Patrick served in the R.C.A.F. and was a member of R.C.L. Branch #578. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to the Downtown Mission or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation as your expression of sympathy. Visiting on Tuesday 2-5, 7-9 p.m.; and Wednesday 2-5, 7-9 p.m. with Legion Prayers on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. & Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at 8:30 a.m. from Janisse Bros - Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue (253-5225), then to St. Alphonsus Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Patrick Nix in the Janisse Bros - Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
