Fred, a member of this community for more than fifty years retired as General Secretary of the Fort William YMCA. His death is preceded by that of his wife, Ethel, in 1997. He is succeeded by a son, Howard, living in BC and a granddaughter, Keena, living in England. A brief public service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Sunday, August 21 at 2 p.m. After the service, Keena Hicken will host a reception held at the Valhalla Inn.
