Nora Elsie Latham July 28, 1912 - August 15, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) LATHAM, Nora Elsie - 93, Lower Sackville, passed away August 15, 2005, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Hardisty, Alta., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Adeline Bronson. In earlier years, Nora was raised on a farm in Alberta. She was a stay-at-home mom whose family was very important to her. She enjoyed bingo. She always took one day at a time. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She is survived by daughters, Shirley Walker (Victor), British Columbia; Melva (Irvin) Hanvold, Yukon; Valerie (Bruce) Allison, Lower Sackville; sons, Leslie "Ray" (Marie), Nanaimo, B.C.; Terry (Linda), Edmonton, Alta.; Donald, Wainwright, Alta.; sister, Lora Arnold, Edmonton; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to Palliative Care c/o QEII Foundation.
