Jan Rak June 23, 1949 - August 16, 2005 RAK, Jan 56 years, suddenly and unexpectedly taken from us on August 16, 2005. Dearly loved, cherished and adored father of Barb & husband Kevin Pollard and Eva & husband Marc Pinke. Loved grandpa of Maxim Pinke. Long time wife and friend of Irena Rak. Dear brother of Irena & husband Richard Gora, Sherry and Teresa & husband Kazik. Dear uncle of Kasia Gora and Adam Fatah. Jan was a devoted and meticulous Lathe Operator with Windsor Match Plate & Tool Ltd. for almost 30 years. He will be missed by his family for his quirkiness and lovable, stubborn ways. Visitation will be Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday August 20, 2005 at Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave., (253-5225) at 10:30 a.m. At Jan's request, cremation will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of Jan Rak in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service wil be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
