Leonard J. Lutes 1912 - 2005 Leonard J. Lutes 92, beloved husband of Elizabeth (MacNeish) Lutes of 66 years passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Born in Jacquet River, he was the youngest son of Wilfred and Janet (Jamieson) Lutes. Leonard was a Grocer, who operated his own business for close to 50 years and was a devoted member of Humphrey Memorial United Church and The Braesiders Seniors Group. Leonard is also survived by his children, Sheila Cameron (Elmer), Moncton, Eleanor Jackson (Lionel), Wilmington, MA, Robert Lutes (Pegi McKay), Fredericton, James Lutes (Mary), Riverview, Joan Babington (John), Moncton, Phyllis Rhodes (Gil), Moncton, Janet Barley (Gary), Moncton, Margaret Matlack (Chris), Exeter, NH; 20 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Delilah (Ila Doucette); brothers, Harry, John and Sterling. Leonard lived a full and rich life and his large family was a constant source of great joy and peace. No visitation by request. Funeral Service at Humphrey Memorial United Church, Friday, August 19, 2005, 2pm. Rev. Allan Griffin officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the Service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Leonard's memory, donations to Humphrey Memorial United Church, CNIB or Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be appreciated.
