Alec James Dash May 03, 1919 - August 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Victoria) DASH: Alec James passed away August 17, 2005. Alec was born May 3, 1919 in Broadview, Saskatchewan, middle son to Harry and Annie Dash. Alec is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Hilda Selena, son David (Deb), grandson Jarrett (Gail) and granddaughter Tamara; brothers Edgar and Len; sister Hilda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alec was predeceased by his brother Alfred. Alec worked for Albion Stove Works and served in the Canadian Forces during World War II. Following the war he trained as a journeyman plumber and pipe fitter, working many years at Yarrows. Alec spent many happy years with his family at the summer place on Shawnigan Lake. Special thanks to Dr. Williams and Dr. Barry for their care. A tea to celebrate Alec’s life will be held in the Songhees Suite at the Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
