MILLICAN, MYRTLE ISABELLA - A full, happy and rewarding life ended in Huntsville, Ontario for Myrtle Isabella Millican on July 27, 2005 in her 97th year. Myrtle was born on September 22, 1908 in Point La Nim, Restigouche County, NB to James Alexander McNeish and Mary Ann Harrison on the farm which was part of the original grant to her ancestors from the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Her training as a registered nurse at the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Campbellton was the pattern setter for her whole life - a life of caring for and loving others. She married Robert MacBeath Millican in Dalhousie, NB on June 15, 1940. Celebrating her life and sharing cherished memories are daughter Mary Elizabeth Schifferdecker and her husband Fred, Huntsville; brothers Gordon E. McNeish, Point La Nim, NB, and Douglas A. McNeish, Brampton; grandchildren Rae Anne von Bitter (Grant Gordon), Florida, Robert von Bitter (Melanie), Toronto, Lisa D. Millican (Raymond Rioux), Miramichi, NB, Warren Millican and Jennifer Millican, New Maryland, NB; daughter-in-law, Joyce Greeman Millican and daughters Alicia and Amy Wood of Bedford, NS. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Robert, their son James William Millican (July, 1991) and daughter-in-law Marilyn Ruth Taylor Millican. Also predeceased by sisters Dorothy Jean MacNeill and Alma Lillian Beckingham. Her ashes were interred in the Millican family plot in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery on August 8, 2005.
