LIGHT, EDNA IRENE - On Friday, August 19, 2005, Edna I. (Wolfe) Light, loving wife of the Late Edward "Ted" Light, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in River Hebert, NS, she was the daughter of the Late John and Cecilia Wolfe. Edna & Ted lived in the Grand Bay area for more than thirty years with the latter years spent at the Kiwanis Lodge. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Grand Bay. Edna loved to care for people and her compassion and giving nature were qualities cherished by her family and many friends. She was truly a "Lady" in every sense of the word. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Edna is survived by her grandchildren Christina (Richard) Spence, Ottawa, ON, Anita (Carl) Lyman, Middleton, NS, and Thomas (Sophie) Rodgers, Kingston, ON; great grandchildren Carl Lyman III, Michael Spence, Stephanie Spence, Samantha Rodgers, and Olivia Rodgers; as well as sister-in-law Margaret Wolfe. In addition to her husband and parents, Edna was predeceased by daughter Patricia Rodgers, three brothers and one sister. Resting at Castle Funeral Home Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew's Church, Dollard Drive, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 1 o'clock. Interment Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edna to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
