Robert James Watts December 06, 1924 - August 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) WATTS, Robert James - 80, Northwood Centre, Halifax, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005, in the centre. Born December 6, 1924, in Halifax, he was a son of the late Robert James and Edna Jean (Collins) Watts. Robert owned and operated R.J. Watts & Sons Roofing for many years and retired in 1997. He enjoyed reading, watching baseball and hockey, and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by children, Elaine (Bernie) Smith, Glen Haven; Bobby (Jay) Watts, Larry (Bernie) Watts, Hammonds Plains; Judy (Ricky) Bonin, Glen Haven; Carol (Danny) Hamer, White's Lake; Cathy (Mike) Trudeau, Dartmouth; Karen Watts, Halifax; Diane (Jeff) Brunt, Prospect Bay; Ricky Watts (Michelle), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Trevor, Angie, Sandi, Janet, Kelly, Robbie, Mark, Jonathan, Jason, Lindsay, Marcie, Adam, Shannon, Tiffany, Jordan, Samantha; great-grandchildren, Deven, Erik, Chloe; sisters, Doris Parsons, Dartmouth; Joan (Bobby) Patterson, Windsor; brothers, Billy (Ethel), Ontario; Cyril (Ruth), Lloyd (Susan), Harold (Eileen), all of Spryfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Many thanks to Uncle Harold who was our faithful and loyal supporter. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, the former Audrey Georgina Boutilier; sisters, Florence Greenough, Edna McAndrew, Ruth Stevenson; brother, Tommy Watts. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., where Robert's family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, and where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Interment in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville. Following the interment, a reception will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Robert's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, IWK Health Centre Foundation or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
