Shirley June Dube June 10, 1934 - August 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) DUBÉ, Shirley June - 71, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 21, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 10, 1934, in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Esther (Harris) Caines. Shirley loved to walk and many will remember seeing her out for her daily walk. If people didn't know her name, they knew she was the one they would see daily. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Joseph "Bob"; daughters, Judy (Glenn) Wolfenden, Janet Williams, Dartmouth; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Rhoda Caines, Olive (Sam) Vokey, Glace Bay; brothers, William (Marg) Caines, Boularderie; John Caines, Jerry Caines, Glace Bay; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Leslie and James Caines. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where Shirley's family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, and where the funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Arthur Snow officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only.
