Harriet Zweep (née Hansen) January 26, 1911 - August 21, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mrs. Harriet Zweep, aged 94 years, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Grandview Lodge. Harriet was born in Fort William and raised and schooled in Pearson. She moved to South Gillies after her marriage to Alfred Zweep in 1936 and was active in the community and South Gillies Women’s Institute. Following her husband’s death, she moved to Thunder Bay to be with family and friends. She is survived by son Ron (Judy) Zweep, daughter Lorraine (Cal) Walker, 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sisters Marion Saari, Ruby Thatcher and Norma (Don) Dafoe and sister-in-law Vera Hansen. Predeceased by husband Alfred, sons Martin and John, her parents, three sisters, two brothers and a daughter-in-law Shirley Zweep. Respecting Harriet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Mrs. Harriet Zweep will be held at Jenkens Funeral Home on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
