Margaret Joyce Reed August 05, 1914 - August 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Regina Funeral Home REED - Margaret Joyce – passed away August 23, 2005 in Regina at the age of 91 years. Born in England, Margaret moved as an infant to Saskatoon. Her early education was centered on the piano at which she excelled achieving the Licentiate and Fellowship Trinity College, London. She began teaching piano and music theory while still in her teen years and continued for more than 60 years reaching an estimated eight hundred students. In 1943 she married Leslie Reed, an RAF serviceman stationed in North Battleford and Moose Jaw, and moved to England during the war. In 1953 the family returned to Canada living first in Kindersley before moving to Regina, her home for the past 49 years. Throughout her life, her main interests were family and friends, the welfare of animals, and music. Margaret and Leslie loved performing their piano duets together. She was a long-time member of the Saskatchewan Registered Music Teachers Association and taught at the University of Regina Conservatory of Performing Arts. Margaret was predeceased by her husband in 1995 after celebrating 52 years of marriage. She is survived by her son Gregory (Lesley) and grandchildren Edward and Helen and great-granddaughter Lindsay; daughter Hilary (Gary) and her children Jennifer, Amelia, and Timothy; two surviving sisters: Joan Browne of Saskatoon and Kathleen Entwisle of New York.
