Vivian Mae Helley May 15, 1917 - August 28, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Calgary) It is with the deepest sorrow that I announce the passing of my dear mother and a beloved grandmother on Sunday, August 28, 2005. Born in Sunnyslope, Alberta, Vivian resided in Edmonton and Calgary for the majority of her life. She married her dear husband, Lavern, in September 1939. Vivian was employed by Woolworth's for twenty-nine years in both Edmonton and Calgary until her retirement in 1991. During those years, she enjoyed many friendships. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Cathey (Marty Van Stockum); four grandchildren, Scott, Tracey (Glen), Mark, and Amber; and three great grandchildren. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Lavern; dear son, Ward; daughter-in-law, Susan; granddaughter, Allison; brother, Clifford; sister, Louella and her parents. Mom was a generous and loving person. Her gentleness, kindness and strength will be forever remembered. Mom's passing leaves a void in our lives that will not be filled. Please celebrate Mom's life in your memories. At Mom's request, no service will be held. Interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Edmonton or Calgary Humane Society.
