Joan Frances ELLIOT

BENKE, Joan Frances Peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 31, 2005, after a lengthy illness. Joan Frances Benke (nee Elliot) was born August 20, 1934 in Glasgow, Scotland to loving parents Tom and Frances Elliot (deceased). Joan immigrated to Canada in 1958. Joan will be greatly missed by her husband, Dennis, son Tom, daughter-in-law Margaret (nee MacNaughton), granddaughters, Kristin, Alyssa and Katrina as well as by her sister Margaret Wall (Richard), sisters-in-law Evelyn Newcombe (nee Timm) and Muriel Logemann as well as niece Catriona Wilson (Craig), nephews Dougal, Gerald (Elizabeth), Robert (Barb) and great-niece and nephews Duncan, Euan, Sean, Danny, Josh and Vicki and many friends and acquaintances. Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Robert Newcombe and Robert Timm. Many thanks to all the staff at St. Vincent's Hospital for their many years of care, patience and compassion. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Friday August 5, 2005 from 10 a.m. until time of the Service in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Vincent's Hospital would be appreciated.
