McGIVERN-PURVES, Jean Elizabeth (Betty) On Friday, August 5, 2005 in her 80th year at Ottawa Hospital (General Campus) as a result of recently diagnosed cancer. Cherished wife of Donald McGivern and the late Robert W. Purves. She is predeceased by her brothers Donald and Norman McMillan. Loved during her life and forever by her family; Rob (Donna), Bud (Janet), Jennifer, Thomas, Arianne, Chris and the late Jonathan. Dear stepmother of Jim (Elaine - daughter Andrea) and Brian. Friends are welcome to attend a reception in her memory at Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club on Sunday, August 14 at 12 noon. Special thanks to Janet Purves and Brian McGivern for their kind efforts and care for Betty in the past few days.
