MARTIN, Louis Charles (Charlie) After a lengthy battle with cancer, it is with great sadness we mourn the passing of Louis Charles (Charlie) Martin. Charlie died on August 9th, 2005, at the age of 57. Charlie worked for Zaggerman Steel for many years and then Home Depo, until his illness. Charlie is predeceased by his parents, Lou Martin and Margaret McPhie Martin. Left to grieve is his longtime companion Deborah Hennessy and children, Brian and Katie. Also surviving are his siblings, sister, Nancy M. Berlin, Atlanta, Georgia, USA; sister Pat Zieman (husband John), Victoria, British Columbia; brother, Dan Martin (wife Lorna); Vancouver, British Columbia, brother, Andy Martin (wife Leanne), Vancouver, British Columbia and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Beechwood Chapel at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 8/17/2005
