GORDON, Irene. 1924-2005. Passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre Ottawa, after a year long struggle with ovarian cancer. Beloved wife of forty-four years of the late Edmund Gordon. She is survived by her children Elizabeth Gordon, Robert Gordon and her grandson Isaac (Stethem). Funeral service will take place at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue, Ottawa, on Thursday August 18, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Qc, section D3 (Temple Emmanuel) at 1:45 p.m. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Shiva will be held in Ottawa after 6 p.m. Thursday at 240 Friel Street and subsequently at Robert Gordon's Home in Toronto.
