BRANCHAUD, Roger After a courageous struggle with cancer, passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, on Wednesday, August 17, 2005. Roger Lionel Branchaud of 56 Fennell Crescent; formerly of Munro Avenue West; age 69 years. Roger spent most of his life serving the public as a former owner/operator of Roger's Canteen. Pee Wee enjoyed life to the fullest, including travelling and camping. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Branchaud (nee Lauzon) in 1985 and his parents George Branchaud Sr. and the late Beatrice Masson. Loving father and best friend of Gary, Richard (Sally), Roger Jr. (Cindy), Scott (Christine), Mark (Monique) all of Cornwall, Wayne (Deirdre) of St. George and Brent (Julie) of Brantford. Predeceased by his daughter, Shelly Branchaud (1962). Cherished "Papa" of Nolan, Melanie, Krystal, Christina, Danny, Eamonn, Amanda, Steven, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Ashley and Abigail and great-grandfther of Alex and Angelle. Beloved brother of Ruth Crowder of Cornwall. Roger was predeceased by five brothers, Arnold, Nelson, Albert, Lawrence and George Branchaud and by two sisters, Mrs. Norma Larose and Mrs. Darlene Larose. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Saturday, August 20, 2005 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis de Sales Church, 434 Second Street West, Cornwall, Ontario at 10 a.m. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall. The family will be in attendance from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of Funeral on Saturday.
