JOHNSTON KOSCH, Jean Jean Ruth Johnston Kosch (nee McLeod), was born in Hancock, Michigan on January 30th, 1918 and died peacefully in Ottawa, with family by her side, on August 18th, 2005. She was a citizen of two countries, the United States and Canada and twice a widow, Richard "Mac" Johnston d 1972 and Phillip C. Kosch d 1997. She is survived by her children Patti Root (Kanata) and Scott Johnston (Whitby), 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and their loving families. From Copper Country to Geraldton, Verdun, Deep River, Ottawa and Florida, Jean saw and remembered much about our two great countries. She will be remembered for this and her love of dogs. A member of the Eastern Star, she will be buried in the Horton Township Cemetery next to "Mac" Johnston. A Memorial Service and reception will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa on Monday, August 22nd at 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
