BARRETTE, Edgar Emile "Ed" At Thorncliffe Place on Monday, August 22, 2005 in his 92nd year. Husband of the late Mary Blais Barrette. Son of the late Joseph Hector Barrette and Marie Quenneville. Father of Phillippe (Mary) of Ancaster, ON, Michelle Capello of Ottawa, ON, Richard (Sharon) of Calgary, AB, Stephen (Margo Burgess) of Ottawa, ON, and Christine Barrette of Vancouver, B.C. Grandfather of Peter, Colleen and Louise Capello, Kate and Amy Barrette, Michael and Sabrina Barrette, Emily and Elizabeth Barrette. Great-grandfather of Haley and Grace Capello. Companion of Helen Gruber. Brother of the late Rita (Moe Leclerc), the late Jacqueline (the late Bill Murray), and the late Gilles (Claire). Ed worked at Hutchings and Patrick for 11 years then at the Ottawa Citizen for 34 years. Ed enjoyed tennis, skiing and paddle tennis. He leaves behind many memories and friends at Dalhousie Lake. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) Nepean on Monday, September 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. Burial of Cremated Remains will be at St. Columbkill's Church Cemetery, McDonald's Corners at a later date.
