OBITUARY KENNETH A. DOW BSC. ELEC. ENG. (U.N.B.) It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Ken in his ninetieth year on August 23, 2005 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Dearly loved husband for fifty-six years of June Rosaleen Cannon, his treasured sons, Christopher of Pointe Claire, Gregg and daughter-in-law Cindy Brown of Belleville, Ont. and daughter, the late Linda Marie. Elder son of the late Gladys and Franklin Dow of Fredericton, N.B. and dear brother of the late Lawrence (Ruth), the late Hazel Collier-Spence and Mary (the late K.V. Cox) all of N.B. He so loved all of his nieces and nephews and his special friends. Ken enjoyed the challenges of his long career at Nortel in Montreal and Bell Northern Research in Ottawa. Being a self taught musician, he filled his home with beautiful music which will be sorely missed. Ken's wishes for a simple private ceremony surrounded by his family and invited friends, will be respected at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home in Pointe Claire. Ceremony will take place Saturday, August 27. Visitation to take place Friday, August 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20 (Cartier exit 49), Pointe Claire, (514) 483-1870. Cremation and burial of ashes to take place at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on 4 West of the Lakeshore for their terrific care of Ken. Also a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pierrefonds C.L.S.C. for all their loving care. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Foundation.
