Retired - CMHC Royal Canadian Engineer 1939-1943 Lieutenant, Course Instructor Officers Training Centre, 1943-1945 Training Officer 6th Canadian Division, World War II Born November 9, 1919 in Kingston, Ontario. Passed away peacefully Saturday, August 27, 2005, in his 86th year. Predeceased in 2002 by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Sledmere. Loving father of Anne Marie (Robert Dulude), Gerry (Carolyn), William, Paul, Theresa, Catherine (Kenneth Strong) and Brent Duquette. Loved Grampy to Lisa (Francois Lavallee), Michael and Gavin (Karine) Dulude, Christopher (Stephanie), Gregory and Stephen Bourdeau, Elizabete and David Edels, Jenna and Zachary Atchison, Katie and Joey Strong, Natalie and Devin Duquette. Great-grandfather to Jacob and Jessica Lavallee and Luc Bourdeau. Dear brother of Ronald (Bernie) and Robert (Mary) Bourdeau. Dear friend of Joy Fellows. Friends may visit at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club (1 block east of Bank Street) on Thursday from 12:30 to 2p.m. followed by a Celebration of LIfe in the Chapel at 2p.m. Cremation and inurnment at Capital Memorial Gardens.
