BOND, Verna Peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital, after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, August 29, 2005, in her 83rd year. Verna (nee DesForges), beloved wife of the late Arthur William Bond, who predeceased her in 1970. Dear mother of Marilyn Maki and her husband Eero (Erik) of Ottawa, James and his wife Kelly of Cardinal, Shirley Landriault and her husband Marc of Halifax and Douglas and his wife Tracy of Ottawa. Predeceased by her infant son David (1957) and daughter Beverley (1979) Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kiersti, Ryan, Kyle, Sierra, Stephanie, Beverley, Sarah, Jeffrey, Alicia, Deanna and Sarah. Sister of Leonard and his wife Teri of Windsor. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2)Kingston. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service at Cooke's-Portsmouth United Church (200 Norman Rogers Drive) on Friday, September 2 at 1:30pm.
