O'MEARA, Mary Patricia (nee Morris) Suddenly but peacefully, Monday, August 29, 2005 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, surrounded by her family, at the age of 78. Daughter of the late Emma Salway and Leonard Lionel Morris and predeceased by a brother Leonard. Survived by sister Joan Lamoureau and brother Lewis Morris. Wife of the late Harold O'Meara and Gordon Whitfield. Mother of Keith O'Meara (Fiona) and foster mother of Desmond O'Neill (Sharon) and Thomas O'Neill (Miranda). Cherished and loving grandmother of Jennifer, Kaylan, Victoria O'Meara, Mathew, Anthony, Erin and John O'Neill. Godmother of Marc Riendeau. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Carleton Lodge and the Emergency Ward at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (Centretown), Thursday after 12:30 p.m. Funeral Thursday to Saint Patrick's Basilica for Mass of Christian Funeral at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Alzheimer Society appreciated.
